Trafford MV 3rd XV made the journey to face Heaton Moor 2nd XV with a bare 15 players - all credit to the players turning out on the day. Playing in a league that contains a number of club 2nd XV's Trafford are consistently up against it and really need to be turning out a squad with a full bench of substitutes to add cover in the game plus fresh legs when needed, once again the players turning out are putting in a great shift and need more support.

Heaton Moor had won 7-24 at Traffords MacPherson Park back in February but todays game was to be a much bigger task with the home side rolling in a number of 1st XV players to inject power and pace when required to add insult to injury during the course of the game.

Trafford fought hard and can be pleased with their contribution to the game but as time ticked away the result became predictable. Tries came Trafford MV's way through Nick Harrison , James Knighton and James Diaper and guest player Mike Burnage added  conversions.

Bobby Harrop put in yet another solid performance in the pack and he can be pleased on how his game has improved over the season, leading by example.

Heaton Moor ran up an ample scoreline 80-19 which keeps them in 4th place but way off a 3rd position. This coming weekend Trafford will be at home to Didsbury Toc H 3rds who have 6 wins to their credit this season. Kick off for this game is likely to be confirmed as 2.15pm

The call is out for ALL club players to get their availabilities in now for the next 2 weekends so we can look to get a good finish to the season for both the 2nd and 3rd XV's. With a prolonged Summer break ahead look to get your boots on over the next couple of weekends. Don't let the Club and your team mates down ! Give your rugby mates a call and get them playing.
