This Saturday afternoon Trafford MV 3rd XV host Didsbury Toc H in their penultimate league game of the season. Trafford will be looking to improve on their 2 wins of the season which belies the talent that is available for the 3rds when players make themselves available.

With a good weather forecast over this evening and tomorrow the teams will be looking forward to playing on an excellent pitch in bright spring like conditions.

Trafford's pack will be based on a powerful front row of veteran Neil Dickinson, the resurgent Jordan Hughes and the sprightly Joe McVeigh.
In the second row there is a blend of youth and experience with young Joe Hynes and the experienced Andrew Clegg.
The back row brings together a combination of talents with Bobby Harrop holding his own , joined by James Halsall dropping back from the front row and the flamboyant Mica Dyos at No 8.

In the half backs Richie Ryan runs the show from scrum half and Ollie Jones continues to impress from the stand off position.

The centre partnership see's big Dave Hopper teaming up with the reliable Adam Mason. Outside of the centres we have the pace of Laurence Ryan and Andrew Fletcher-Harris.

Rounding off the starting XV at full back , as the last line of defence and a focal point of attack is the speedy Jamie Parker.

For a pleasing change the team go into battle with a strong bench as Dale Beardsall, Nico Pickard, Dan Clark, Simon Wan, Andrew Beales and A Ringer. Bill Thatcher will certainly raise a cheer when he takes to the field for one of his rare appearances following knee surgery!

Good Luck to all the players taking the field today - and thank you for being available !
