Trafford MV 3rd XV earned their second win of the season and showed what they are capable of if a full XV and subs can be fielded each week.  It is hoped this win will give all the players in the squad some encouragement and inspire them to better things on a Saturday afternoon. We would ask all players to get their availabilities onto the SPOND App as soon as possible so that the selectors are able to piece together a competitive XV early in the week and then tweak as needs be.

In very windy conditions Trafford took on a well established Manchester Hawks XV led by captain James Knighton and put in a sterling display to take the win. The big players on the day were Oscar Livings , home from Belfast University, on the wing and occasional player Andy Quigley at No 8.

Trafford opened the scoring almost from the whistle with a flying try from Oscar Livings who added 2 more in the game for a hat trick. Andy Quigley picked up a brace of tries whilst others came from Callum Rigg , Joe Smith and Dale Beardsall. Conversions were added by Ryan Wilkinson 4, James Knighton and Richie Ryan.

Final Score was a deserved 52 - 24 home win.

Oscar Livings collected the Player of the Match award.

This coming weekend Trafford MV 3rds make the short journey to Heaton Moor to face their 2nd XV.
