Trafford MV 3rd XV hosted Heaton Moors 2nd XV and put up a great battle against a strong opposition who are in the top 4 of the league.
Trafford had some late changes to the team and shuffled positions to accommodate changes. Rossendale the 2nd XV opposition arrived with only 8 players and TMV loaned players and shuffled players around in order to get both games played - Thanks to the players that offered themselves to the opposition to get everyone a game.
Traffords only score came from Simon Thornton and the conversion was added by Ryan Wilkinson.
Player of the match went to Jonny Bardsley playing his first game after a 4 year break - no looking back now Jonny you're in !!!!
TMV were further impacted when Andy Quigley collected his second yellow which turned into a red card.
The 3rd XV can be pleased with their performance against 2nd XV opposition and better performances are just around the corner looking at the way the team are playing.
There is no game for the 3rd XV this coming weekend and they can look to regroup and go again on Feb 17th with a home game against Wythenshawe.
