In really good conditions , considering the recent poor weather, Trafford MV welcomed promotion adversaries Aspull Development XV to MacPherson Park. The teams are battling it out for the league runners up spot and are both hot on the heels of Littleborough 2nd XV.

The large home crowd were expecting a tight game but Trafford came out of the blocks on fire with their young players leading the way backed up by a number of more experienced players.

Trafford's players clicked on the day and must now realise how well they can play and must now string a series of results together in their remaining four fixtures to keep the pressure on Aspull and Littleborough. On the day Trafford ran in 8 tries with Chris Ward picking up a brace with other tries being contributed by Ben Wainwright, Luke O'Shea, Fenton Dickinson , Connor Monaghan, Adam Mason and Connor Ryan. Charlie Valentine was on target with 3 conversions and Luke O'Shea adding 2 more.

Aspull responded with a converted try.

FINAL SCORE 50 - 7

Chris Ward collected the Player of the Match award and Phil Simms also got a mention in despatches !

This was a comprehensive win for Trafford MV 2nd XV and shows the potential within the team, which is helping to keep the pressure on positions in the 1st XV squad.

With only a single point now separating 2nd from 3rd Trafford have everything to play for.
