Trafford MV 2nd XV have a great chance to improve their promotion challenge as they welcome Blackburn 3rd XV to MacPherson Park for a 3.00pm kick off. The team have been having a good run recently based on a good crop of young talent that has come through from our home grown Colts XVs of recent years. Backed up by some good experienced players the team has now got a good blend that seems to be working and is in places putting pressure on 1st XV positions which is what the Club needs.

Trafford MV are currently in 3rd place just 3 points behind 2nd placed Aspull Development XV. Blackburn are sitting in 6th place with 8 wins under their belts compared to the 10 wins that Trafford have collected to date. With a big performance Trafford can be hopeful of collecting more league points.

Trafford open the game with a powerful front row of Connor Monaghan and Joe Cooper (captain) propping and Phil Simms at hooker.

Fraser McCaully and Joe Hynes add size and pace to the second row.

The back row looks highly effective with great mobility and tackling aggression from Dan Clark and Andrew Beales playing wing forwards and veteran Chris Ward holding down the No 8 spot.

Joe best returns nicely tanned from holiday at scrum half with Ollie Jones continuing to impress at stand off half.

In the centres Adam Mason and Joe Owen will be looking to continue their scoring form following Tyldesley.

Out wide on the wings will be in form Fenton Dickinson and goal kicker Charlie Valentine posing a threat.

Rounding off the starting XV at full back will be Jamie Parker.

Taking to the bench as finishers this weekend are Bobby Harrop stepping up from some good shifts in the 3rd XV, joined by Nathan Hamilton and Laurence Ryan also up from the 3rd XV after scoring last weekend.

Have a good game lad's.
