Here we are with the Trafford MV 1st XV back in league action at MacPherson Park as they continue their challenge for promotion and potentially a title winning season. Oldham are the visitors this weekend as we stick with a 2.15pm kick off for the 1st XV game.
With a 12 point lead in the league and 14 wins under their belt Trafford need to be confident in their performance but need to have a clinical approach to their defence and control of possession. After a home win at Manor Park back in November Oldham will definitely arrive knowing their own threat and Trafford must be capable of snuffing this threat from the start.
In a pretty much unchanged starting XV to the last game at Liverpool Collegiate Trafford are seeing playing combinations developing in key areas of the game.
The starting XV see's a front row of Jack Gobbett and Nathan Bailey propping either side of hooker Craig Collier.
The second row links up Tyler Stevens and Micah Dyos as a very mobile and effective pairing.
The back row has No 8 Kieran Edgar supported on the flanks by Sam Wilson and Lewis Kingdon.
The half back pairing is unchanged with captain Pat Eccles at 9 alongside Callum Yates at 10.
Jamie Kingdon and Leon Passley continue their newly forged partnership in the centre while out wide we have hat trick hero Eanna Glynn joined by Tom Astbury on the wings.
Young Luke O'Shea holds onto his place at full back (as well as his hair.....the clock is ticking !) following recent good performances.
The finishers bench is a strong one with young Joe Walls growing in experience, Danny Burke returning from injury looking to make an impact and get back into the starting XV together with Jordan Rigg stepping back up after scoring twice for the 2nds at Tyldesley last weekend.
