This Saturday Trafford MV 1st XV will be going all out to secure promotion and the League Title at Leigh RUFC at Round Ash Park, Hand Lane, Leigh, Lanc's, WN7 3NA - your support in cheering the lads home in the final games of the season would be much welcomed. Kick off is at 3.00pm.

Trafford have worked hard all season to get themselves into this position and the players are very keen to get themselves over the line - Leigh permitting of course !

Having won 15, drawn 1 and losing only 3 games all season Trafford have been quietly confident in going about their task and the players and coaching team are calling on all the fan base at MacPherson Park to make the short journey to Leigh RUFC to join in their latest challenge. The players will be up for it - will you ?

Leigh will certainly be no pushover having collected 7 wins during their season and currently holding 7th position in the league.

Trafford are hoping to have skipper Danny Burke back in action after missing a few weeks with injury and seeming to have got through a brief run out off the bench in the last fixture. There is injury concern over influential front rower Nathan Bailey but a strong squad is expected to be announced on Friday.

With no other fixtures for TMV on Saturday we would hope to see 2nd and 3rd XV players giving their backing to the 1st XV as they have done on the field all season. It would be hoped that junior players in the Club may make their way over with parents to watch the team that they aspire to potentially claim the league title.

Supporters and friends of the Club that have stood on the home touchline all season through wind and rain are asked to make that little bit more effort and shoot across to Leigh (just 30min away!)

Then its back to the Club hopefully for big celebrations and the Ireland vs Scotland game at 4.45pm followed by France vs England at 8.00pm.

On Sunday our Women's team travel up to Preston Grasshoppers for a league fixture 2.00pm kick off.

On Saturday March 23rd we have a Presidents Lunch open to ALL prior to the 1st XV final home game of the season. Please buy or reserve your tickets asap to be a part of celebrating our Club's successes this season. See separate news/event posts.
