James Knighton will be leading the 3rd XV into action against Marple 2nd XV at Home this Saturday and will be hopeful that the new playing surface will have resisted the frost over recent days and will prove playable. Traffords season has been somewhat irregular with much changed teams every week preventing any consistency in selection however being the first full season for a 3rd XV taking to the field since Covid the players can be pleased with their efforts.
Trafford MV are jusy off the foot of the table with only Hope Valley below them - Marple 2nds have not faired much better as they sit just above Trafford in 10th position on 18 points with TMV on 11 points - a strong Glossop 3rd XV hold top spot in Div 4 East with a healthy 49 points.
With temperatures set to rise and the chance of rain likely Trafford will be looking for suitable conditions to get a good performance in to cheers the fans up.
If any local rugby players are without a Club (or a game) we would like to hear from you and we welcome any new players looking to play for a well established Club with excellent facilities.
