With two defeats from 2 games in 2024 Trafford MV 1st XV will be on a mission to turn around this spell of poor form. They head for the coast to face a Fleetwood side who have not been having the best of seasons and are currently propping up the Counties 2 ADM Lancs Cheshire League. Sitting bottom with only 2 wins and 10 points Fleetwood will be looking for an opportunity to snatch points - 2 of TMV's 3 defeats this season have come against sides who were bottom at the time Oldham and De La Salle.
Trafford MV need to go into the game full of intent and concentration - there can be no weakness in their performance if they wish to get back on track and maintain their title ambitions. Defence and retention of possession are key areas of the game that the team need to work on, as is discipline. The team showed glimpses of what they are capable of in both the recent defeats but these glimpses need to be linked together to give a full 80 minutes showcasing the team and player capabilities.
Weather and pitch conditions are likely to change rapidly as the weekend approaches with temperatures rising a little and rain coming in. Trafford will need to find the game that will suit these conditions and get their season back on track.
