On Saturday afternoon (17th) Trafford MV and Burnage will field their available playing squads in a pre-season friendly at MacPherson Park M33 6LR.
Kick off is 3.00pm bar open 1.00pm for pre-match refreshments.
Both sets of players have been working hard to get fitness levels back up and sharpen their handling and tackling prior to the serious action beginning in September.
Attendance at training has been good for Trafford MV with an average attendance around 35 players - some regulars from last season are still away on holiday so we will be seeing some new faces on the park. We will also see opportunities given to our current crop of young players who were fringing 1st XV selection last season and may well get their chance in the early games to make their mark and clinch starting positions.
The clubhouse is expected to be busy with cricket and gaelic football being played in addition to the rugby.
Please come down and show your support for the players and the Club as we embark on our new challenge in our promoted league.
Tickets for the South Of The River Beer Festival are available from the Bar at £5 per person - cash payment is the preferred option please. The dates of the event is Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of September. Beers/Ciders/Proseccos and Gins plus good music and food to be enjoyed. Spread the word and invite friends , neighbours and work colleagues to one of the clubs premium events.
