As we approach the final month of the season we are looking for all teams to make a final push to nudge themselves up the tables and achieve the best finishing positions possible.
With the weather forecast looking good for the weekend we are confident of getting plenty of game time in - the fall of wickets permitting !!!!!
On Saturday August 31st we have a busy day lined up at MacPherson Park and highly visible in the midst of it all will be the TMV 1st XI vs Knutsford CC 1st XI starting at 12.30pm. Trafford MV must consider themselves in with a shout in this fixture despite being rooted at the bottom of the division. With wins vital to avoid relegation Trafford MV must go into this game, against a team just 3 places above them, full of confidence. There will be lots of activity around the ground and many eyes will be on the game. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 97 RUNS
Also playing on Saturday are the 2nd XI who travel over to play Holmes Chapel 2nd XI. Sitting in a much better position the 2nd XI are placed 2nd in their division but level on points with leaders Marple CC. Holmes Chapel are struggling near the bottom of the table in 11th place out of 12 teams. TMV will be pressing to get themselves ahead of Marple who face 9th placed North East Cheshire CC. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 4 WICKETS
On Sunday the 1st XI play again this time in the final of the T20 Cup Competition at Langley CC against favourites Westminster Park. Trafford have played well in the cup and now need to put their league form aside and look for this one off result that could turn their season around. RESULT - WESTMINSTER PARK CC WON BY 14 RUNS
The 3rd XI will pick up their bags and head to Heaton Mersey on Sunday where both teams go into the game with good runs of form behind them. Trafford have a strong mid table position sitting 5th in the division on 110pts while Heaton Mersey are a couple of places lower in 7th place on 78pts. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 5 WICKETS
Trafford MV 4th XI play at home on Sunday and they will play host to Davenham CC. Trafford are strong leaders of the division sitting top on 154pts - ahead of Bollington CC on 110pts. Davenham come into the game holding 6th position on 100pts. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 2 RUNS
The Club will be busy with the Dave Hughes Memorial Fun Day - please bring some cash for raffles / donations / etc. There will be face painting and other fun things for kids and adults. GREAT ATTENDANCE FOR THE FUNDRAISING FUN DAY - THANKS TO ALL THAT ATTENDED
