In blustery showery conditions Trafford MV hosted local opponents Sale FC Colts at MacPherson Park. Trafford weathered some early Sale pressure which resulted in a penalty but then after defending well Trafford got a firm foothold in the game. This saw them launching attacks of their own often from deep in their own half as the hard work of the forwards brought possession for the backs. Good spirited defence and wet conditions saw Trafford disrupt Sale attacks and play from the breakdown balls.
The first half brought 3 converted tries for Trafford with only a penalty in reply giving Trafford the interval lead at 21-3. In the second half MV maintained their attacking style of play and forced a further 2 tries both again converted with no sore from Sale in reply to give a final score of 35-3. Try scorers for Trafford were Calvin Lee Ashworth 2, Jack Berry, Tsolaye Arenyeka and Malachi Nyamadi. Trafford's kickers had a 100% success rate with Jack Berry 4/4 and Callum Boys 1/1.
This was an all round good performance from the Trafford team who worked hard on both defence and attack to achieve a deserved result.
