Ladies and gentlemen your 1xv team captain this year - Pat Eccles
‘I am incredibly proud to take on the 1st XV captaincy for the 2024/25 season. Trafford MV has always been a huge part of my life and being trusted to take on this role, once again, is something I am incredibly excited about.
The club is in a fantastic place both on and off the field. The last two seasons in particular have been hugely successful on the pitch with the 1st XV pushing for promotion and finally achieving that goal last season. Additionally the 2nd XV has become much more competitive and the incredible training numbers have allowed us to re-establish the 3rd XV. This is vital in allowing our young talent to play competitive rugby whilst also allowing more social members opportunities for games.
Alongside competing to establish ourselves within a new league, I see this season as a huge opportunity to integrate more of our talented group of young players. I am sure that given the opportunity, they will become vital members of the 1st XV squad and hopefully become the foundation of a successful team moving into the future.
