The U16 final between Trafford MV and Southport was a very close game with some good rugby on show from both sides. It went in to the break 5-5 and was super tight. Two tries from TMV made it look all over but a late score from Southport brought them right back into it for in the final 5 minutes.Traffords defence stayed strong for a final score of 17-12 to Trafford MV. Well done to all the players, coaches and parents on a great season !!!!
On Sunday 4t May Trafford MV's U16 side will compete in the Final of the Lancashire Vase against Southport at Leigh RUFC kicking off at 3.00pm.
This is a great achievement for the players and coaching team and rounds off a good season for the team before they step up into Colts Rugby next season.
All credit is due to the junior rugby section and the dedication of the coaching teams which bring players of calibre through season upon season.
If you are able to get across to Leigh to cheer the boys on it would be much appreciated by all the players as they take to the big stage.
