Trafford MV 2nds and North Manchester contested an entertaining 34-34 draw at MacPherson Park at the weekend. Conditions were very good although a bit overcast especially towards the end of the game with light fading.
Trafford MV ran in 6 tries and it was Player Of The Match Laurence Ryan leading the way with an exhilarating 4 tries for the winger. 2nd XV debutant Wayne Scanlon celebrated his 1st try for the Club and James Halsall also cashed in on the day. Callum Boyd added 2 conversions in a solid performance.
This was a good performance from a young Trafford side against a more experienced North Manchester 1st XV. The result leaves MV in 3rd position with one game to play before the Christmas break - MV are level on points with Eccles while Wigan are top.
This coming weekend will see struggling Rossendale 3's visit MacPherson Park but nothing can be taken for granted in these holiday games !
