We open 2025 with an exciting home fixture against New Brighton who were also promoted this season as runners up to Trafford MV.

 

Back in September the sides met on the Wirral and in the tightest of games the home side came out winners 39-38 - a blow for TMV.

 

This weekend , weather permitting, we have the opportunity to reverse that result in a 2.15pm kick off at MacPherson Park (M33 6LR).

 

Trafford MV have named a strong side to open the new year and have the opportunity to climb the league and secure more points in the quest to establish themselves firmly in Counties 1 ADM Lancashire & Cheshire League of the Northern Division.

 

Trafford MV name a strong side with the forwards fronting up with James Webster and Jack Gobbett propping either side of hooker Craig Collier.

The back row has Joe Walls and Chris Ward flanking and Micah Dyos taking the No 8 spot.

 

Paiting up in the half backs we have Pat Eccles back as Captain and Scrum Half with Jordan Parker making his mark at Stand Off half.

 

In the centres there is a powerful partnership of Callum Yates and Matt Coxon.

 

Out wide on the wings Joe Owen pairs up with Jamie Parker.

 

Luke O'Shea completes the starting XV at Full Back.

 

There is a strong bench waiting to add their input to the occasion with Connor Ryan, Ben Wainwright and Ollie Jones.

 

Club members are invited to get together on the touchline and in the bar to show their support for the 1st XV as we look for a strong start to the business end of the season.
