Here we are - the start of the 2026/27 Senior Rugby Season at Trafford MV RFCC.
With a delayed start to the League season still in place (until 26/09/26) we still have the opportunity to proceed with Lancashire Cup matches going ahead at MacPherson Park.
We welcome Bolton RFC to our Club as opposition for both our 1st and 2nd XV's as we open the season with home matches to entertain our supporters and those visiting. Both of the Senior Men's games will kick off at 3.00pm.
Ahead of this we open the day's proceedings with our Women's Senior team hosting Liverpool Collegiate Ladies for a Noon kick off.
Both the Men's and Women's teams have players new to the Club and it would be good to show them the support they have within the Club and on the touchline.
There will also be Trafford MV Cricket playing as well as St Brendan's Gaelic Football so a busy day all round is assured at MacPherson Park.
On Sunday afternoon at 12.45pm Trafford MV Senior Colts travel to face Stockport.

It is just 2 weeks off our annual Beer Festival at Trafford MV Rugby Club as our South Of The River event opens it's doors on Friday 18th Sept.
We need to call on YOU to help us out and VOLUNTEER to help us cover the shifts to help the event run smoothly ! Please drop wilfdooley@virginmedia.com a message if you are able to help on the Friday evening ( slots from 5pm till 11pm to be filled) and Saturday afternoon and evening (slots from Noon till 11pm to be covered) shifts will only be an hour or two depending how many helpers we get.
PLEASE DON'T LEAVE IT ALL TO SOME ONE ELSE - IT'S GOOD FUN TO HELP TOO !
The Beer Festival is one of the biggest events in the Club calendar but it doesn't happen without YOU.
Please help us to promote the event be sharing it with friends / family / neighbours and work colleagues - everyone is welcome including families and non members!
Tickets are now available from the Bar during opening hours - tickets purchased ahead of the event will include a free drink on arrival.
