With the season now under way and teams at all levels and age groups now getting game time Trafford MV are keen to add players to their squads at all levels.
The 1st XV have hit the ground running with a healthy win over Glossop putting them in pole position going into round 2 of the League season - capable, competitive, proven rugby players are required to add their talent to the 1st XV Rugby being played with a view to competing for the promotion places at the end of the season.
Trafford MV 2nd XV are looking for players of good ability who want to play regular competitive rugby - players at 1st and 2nd XV levels are expected to attend training sessions in order to give the best version of themselves on the pitch. Training is held each Tuesday and Thursday at 7.00pm at M33 6LR.
We have launched a Vet's / Social XV who will be playing a limited number of matches over the course of the season - this is aimed at players that cannot commit to being available every week / players who consider themselves too old to be playing 1st/2nd XV rugby but who still want to get some game time in / novice players who want to get game time to learn the ropes whilst having some fun.
There is also a Senior women's rugby XV who play at a competitive league level and are keen to bring new women into the game as well as growing our own talent within our own Club. If you wish to follow in the footsteps of England's Red Roses then please get in touch with Justine at

To ensure a constant pathway of young talent Trafford MV has rugby teams at all age levels to bring players through their teenage years with a view to progressing into the senior teams / university teams and to clubs across the country if they move from the area. The Club is keen to attract young players from local rugby playing schools and it works closely also with Trafford Schools Rugby Scheme to offer more rugby opportunity to youngsters at non-rugby high schools within the borough. With qualifies coaching teams the clubs youth pathway is recognised as the future of the Club as can be seen from the current 1st XV players.
For young girls we have 3 teenage age-groups which offers rugby playing opportunity and friendship groups across 3 x 2year age bands.
Parents of youngsters at schools across the borough are welcome to get in touch if you think Rugby maybe beneficial to the growth and development of your young adults.
Mini/Junior Rugby is also thriving for boys and girls from 3 year old upwards as they begin to develop their motor skills including running / catching / passing / awareness of actions / teamwork / leadership - all great assets to take through life.
We look forward to hearing from new people keen on playing rugby and joining the activities at the thriving club at Trafford MV RFCC in Sale, M33 6LR
