Well done to the 1st XI who won their semi-final in the T20 1st XI Plate Competition beating Barnton CC by 5 runs.
Trafford won the toss and elected to bat and knocked up 144 all out on 18.3overs. The home side played out the full 20 overs but could only reach 139 for 7 wickets. Westminster Park won the other semi final against Holmes Chapel.
Trafford will now travel to play Westminster Park, who will have home advantage, in the final on Sept 1st.
Not the best of weekends results for Trafford MV this time around.
This Saturday July 20th Trafford MV 1st XI are at home to Lymm Oughtrington Park C.C. with a 12.30pm start. Bottom placed Trafford MV will need to put in a good show in front of their home support against 2nd placed Lymm side. RESULT - LYMM OUGHTRINGTON PARK CC WON BY 37 RUNS - Lymm elected to bat first and were all out for 112 on 37.5 overs. Trafford MV managed 75 all out on 28 overs.
Trafford MV 2nd XI travel around the M60 to face Bredbury St Marks C.C. stumps at 1.00pm. Third placed Trafford will be looking to improve their ranking against 7th placed St Marks. Lets hope we keep the good weather over the weekend to get the games in. RESULT - BREDBURY ST MARKS CC WON BY 3 WICKETS - Bredbury won toss and chose to field first. Trafford got a reasonable 146 all out on 35.5 overs. Bredbury chased them down in 39.4 overs on 147 for 7 wickets.
On Sunday July 21st Trafford MV 3rd XI will welcome Ashley CC 4th XI to MacPherson Park for a 2.00pm start. This should be a tightly contested game with current league leaders Ashley facing up to 4th placed Trafford MV. RESULT - ASHLEY CC, CHESHIRE WON BY 4 WICKETS
Also on Sunday Trafford MV 4th XI will make their way to Stockport C.C. 3rd XI with a 2.00pm start. With Trafford currently sitting pretty in 1st place in the league they should be confident of a result against 6th place Stockport. RESULT - STOCKPORT CC CONCEDED
There are no midweek games due to be played next week.

Rugby pre-season training has now started on Tues/Thurs evenings for bot the mens and womens senior rugby sides.
