It is with great sadness that we as a Club advise the recent passing of former player and club character Mick Dungworth - see note below from his family.
Sad news from Sarah Dungworth:
Unfortunately Mick passed away last night. It was quicker than we thought it would be but I think he realized that it was time to go.
Could you please let the others know? I know he thought a lot of you all and he used to look forward to your chats. We have donated his body to research so there will be no funeral or service.

Mick will be well remembered by his contemporaries and adversaries back in the day as a powerhouse prop holding his own with the best on the circuit. He captained the Club in the early 1970's.
He spent much of his later years in the USA and kept in regular touch with some of his old team mates.
Mick can be seen in the middle of the front row in this extract from an old team photo from back in the day.
We remember Mick fondly and send the condolences of our membership to all Micks family and close friends.
