This weekend we have 3 Senior home games being played at MacPherson Park with the Men's 2nds and 3rds at home on Saturday kicking off at 2.15pm and the Ladies 1st XV playing on Sunday at 2.00pm. Spectators at all these games would be much appreciated.

 

Also playing at home on Sunday are the Junior Colts (U17's) who will welcome Southport U17s for their encounter kicking off at 12.30pm.

 

The 1st XV are on the road again as they head into Lancashire for a rearranged game against Tarleton. This will be yet another tough game for TMV as 3rd placed Tarleton have lost just 3 games this season and won at MacPherson Park 35-53 back in early October - the home side succumbed to late scores to have a winning opportunity snatched from them. Trafford desperately need a win to ease their relegation worries as they are locked in battle with Heaton Moor, Liverpool St Helens and Aspull for the 2nd relegation spot alongside Glossop. Strong team selection from a healthy player availability list is essential to give the team a chance of success. 

 

Trafford's 2nd XV are back in the fray again this week as Leigh 2nds are the visitors. Leigh will be coming with a point to prove as they sit bottom of the table with just 2 wins - this will not guarantee an easy game and TMV will need to be on top form to ensure league points are taken. Trafford MV are currently 6th in the league and are hot on the heels of North Manchester and Warrington. A good high scoring win could shoot MV up the table - again the strength of the team is all down to player availability - dig out those boots over this and future weekends to get strong teams out.

 

The 3rd XV are due to host Trentham 2's and fielding a full team is even more important than getting a winning result ! Having failed to field a team on 3 occasions a glistening axe is now swinging over the teams place in the league so player availability is essential throughout the whole player list is essential to getting a 3rd XV onto the field between now and the end of the season !!  Trentham are currently 3rd in the league having won 7 of their 11 games whilst TMV are 1tth having won 3 from 8. The Club is requesting ALL players to do their bit to keep TMV 3's alive and in the league !!!

 

On Sunday the Ladies XV are at home against Didsbury Toc H and after a spell of long away trips the ladies will be looking to show some good form on their home ground. Trafford Ladies are sitting in 5th place with 4 wins and 4 defeats under their belts - they will be looking to go one better against a bottom placed Toc H who have only 1 win to their credit this season. 

 

Also on Sunday the bottom 2 teams in the U17's league will battle it out against Southport at MacPherson Park with both sides looking for their 3rd win of the season. The team would welcome the support of Senior players as the youngsters seek to grow their game and stature as Club players.
