With just one week of the cricket season left to play things are looking ominous for the Trafford MV CC 1st XI as the fell to another defeat away from home at Aston CC. In a low scoring game in excellent conditions Trafford were bowled out for just 79 runs in 17.2 overs. The home side found this no challenge and reached 80 off 5 wickets although it took 28.5 overs. This gave Aston the victory ASTON CC, CHESHIRE WON BY 5 WICKETS and leaves MV rooted second from bottom with just the final game to play. Can miracles happen ?
The 2nd XI picked up a good win against Lindow CC at home at MacPherson Park. Lindow reached 120 all out from 34.1 overs and it took Trafford MV CC just 26.2 overs to knock up 124 for 4 wickets having elected to field first - TRAFFORD METROVICkS CC WON BY 6 WICKETS. This result makes the final weekend an exciting one for the 2ns XI as with just the final game left to play there is just 5 league points separating the top 3 teams - everything to play for as 2nd placed TMV travel away to play 3rd placed Marple!
