There are 2 Trafford MV teams taking to the field this Saturday as both the 1st and 3rds are in league action - both games kicking off at 2.15pm - the support of club members and friends would be appreciated by the players.
The 1st XV head into the hills as they travel to Glossop with both teams looking to turn their season around. There will be no festive niceties however as both teams are desperate to secure league points - TMV especially.
Glossop started the season with a hefty 15 point deduction and have only picked up one win from the 10 games played which hasn't affected their position at the bottom of the pile. Trafford have not fared much better with only 2 wins coming their way to date.
Head coach Brian Collier will be looking for his players to pull together in adversity and start getting the little things right which will turn losses into wins. The target long term must be to get hot on the heels of New Brighton who are just 3 points above TMV.
To add to the interest in this fixture Glossop are coached by former TMV coach Kit Brammer - the 1st XV players will be socialising in Glossop with Kitt during the evening !
The 3rd XV also travel away so that means no home game this weekend, which will give recovery time after last weeks torrential rains. Dukinfield 2nds are the opposition and Trafford will be looking to make a mark against their unbeaten hosts who have won 8 from 8 so far. Trafford 3rds will be looking for a good result to put pressure on Old Bedians 2nd XV who are just above MV in 8th place.

As a Club we are looking for players to GET YOUR BOOTS ON and get back into playing regular weekend rugby. For whatever reason there are a good number of faces from last season who are not playing this season - maybe you have just got out of the habit. We need to give a boost to starting XV's as well as ensuring teams take to the field with a full bench. Let's work hard together lads to get players onto the pitches.
The Clubhouse will be open at Trafford MV for the final game of the Autumn Internationals and any local residents or fans of rugby are invited to come down and watch the game with us. Ireland vs Australia kicking off at 3.10pm
