TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC 2ND XI WON BY 2 WICKETS
Trafford Metrovics CC - 2nd XI 157 / 8 (36.5) 15pts Vs 6pts Irby CC - 2nd XI 156 / 9 (40.0)

After a prolonged spell of sunshine we return to Ban Holiday weather and the prospect of rain and cricket ! Although much needed on the fields of MacPherson Park there will be the inevitable question mark over the amount of cricket able to be played over the weekend.

On Saturday the 1st XI, who are currently leading the league, take to the road and head South to take on Holmes Chapel CC. The opposition currently hold 7th position.

The 2nd XI have a tough task on their hands as they welcome Irby CC on Saturday afternoon. Irby are in a good run of form and sit in 4th position while Trafford are in more intermittent form and sit 7th in the league.

Sunday see's the 3rd XI take to the road as they head to Elworth CC. The home side have the edge in form sitting in 3rd position but Trafford are hot on their heels and a good away result would boost TMV's prospects greatly.

There are the prospects of a good game at home on Sunday as the 4th XI play host to Didsbury CC. This is a game of 1st vs 2nd in the league with Trafford currently leading the way with both teams having won 3 from 3, as have Runcorn so a good competitive league in prospect.

On Monday our developing Under 9's team will play their 3rd game of the season away at Whalley Range CC. New players are very welcome to join our squad of young players.

Lots of hard work done by the grounds people over the past weeks looking after the wicket and the outfield.

Please spread the word that we are looking for players to add to our U9's and Ladies 'soft ball' Cricket playing and training squads.

Make the most of the Summer.
