The weekends cricket will once again be at the mercy of the elements as a pretty unsettled forecast is likely to have it's fair share of rain but lets remain hopeful !

 

Following on from the opening game of the Euro's 2024 which will be showing in the Clubhouse on Friday evening we will be looking for more excitement on the cricket field of play.

 

Saturday afternoon will see our 1st XI head South to face Knutsford with a 12.30pm start. Trafford MV on 33pts  will be searching for a favourable result to try and ease themselves off the bottom of the table - Knutsford on 48pts might be vulnerable on the day. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 20 RUNS

 

Trafford MVs 2nd XI should be in confident mood as they welcome Holmes Chapel 2nd XI to MacPherson Park. The opposition have lost their last 5 matches while TMV have had 4 wins from their last 5 outings. Stumps are at 1.00pm. Trafford are in a good 5th position from 12 in the league on 71pts whilst Holmes Chapel are unfortunately bottom placed on 30pts. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 19 RUNS

 

Weather permitting we should have 3 fixtures to look forward to on Sunday.

 

Our 1st XI take prime position at home with Bollington CC as the visitors in the 1st round of the Cheshire Shield Competition. 

 

Trafford MV 3rd XI make the short journey to Cheadle CC which should be a tight game going off league positions. Trafford are currently 2nd place on 36pts with Cheadle just behind in 3rd position on 30pts. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 16 RUNS

 

Trafford MV 4th XI are also due to play Bollington 3rd XI on Sunday. RESULT - TRAFFORD METROVICKS CC WON BY 90 RUNS
